Terms & Conditions of Hire

These terms apply to every hire from [ADMIN: legal/trading name] (Kev Koo Castles, we). By paying a deposit, you (the hirer) agree to them.

1. Bookings & deposits

A booking is only confirmed once your deposit has been paid successfully online.
The deposit counts towards your total hire price. The balance is due [ADMIN: e.g. in cash or by bank transfer on the day of delivery].
The deposit amount for each item is shown before you pay.

2. Cancellations & refunds

If you cancel: [ADMIN: e.g. the deposit is refunded if you cancel more than 7 days before the event, and is non-refundable after that].
If we cancel for any reason within our control, you get a full refund of everything you have paid.
For weather, see section 3.
Refunds go back to the original payment method.

3. Weather & unsafe conditions

Inflatables must not be used in strong winds (generally above 24mph / Force 5), heavy rain, or on unsafe ground. Our staff make the final decision on whether it is safe to set up. If we cannot set up safely, we will offer another date or [ADMIN: refund/credit policy]. If the weather turns during your hire, stop using the equipment, deflate it and call us.

4. Site & access requirements

A flat, clear area of the size shown for your item, plus about 1m of space around it
No overhead obstacles such as trees, washing lines or cables, and no sharp objects on the ground
Clear access from our vehicle to the set-up area [ADMIN: minimum gate width]
A working standard 240V socket within reach, or a suitable generator
For indoor venues: enough ceiling height and permission from the venue

5. Delivery & collection

We deliver, set up and collect within our delivery area. Any delivery charge outside Blackburn and Darwen is confirmed when you book. Someone aged 18 or over must be there for delivery and collection.

6. Supervision & safety

A responsible adult must supervise the equipment at all times while it is in use.
No shoes, food, drink, sharp objects, face paint, glitter or silly string on the equipment.
Follow the age, height and user-number limits we give you. Keep adults and children apart unless it is an adult castle.
Never use the equipment while it is deflating, and never climb the walls.
Nobody under the influence of alcohol may use the equipment.

7. Damage & loss

The hirer is responsible for the equipment from delivery until collection. Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or not following these terms may be charged at the cost of repair or replacement. Normal wear and tear is not charged.

8. Liability

We carry public liability insurance [ADMIN: insurer/level of cover]. We are not liable for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse, lack of supervision, or failure to follow these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples include severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, illness and government restrictions. If this happens, we will offer another date or a refund of what you have paid.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Questions? Call 07926 888901.
